Local media reports state that casino jobs fair for veterans will take place in the course of this month in Atlantic City. Two more casinos are on the way to joining city’s casino market in the next few months and they are looking for employee ahead of their planned launching.
0900hrs to 1500hrs on April 19
The jobs fair will be held on April 19 from 0900hrs to 1500hrs at the headquarters of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission (NJCCC) on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Veterans are encouraged to pre-register for the affair and to attend if they’re searching for jobs and want to be part of the state’s casino business. Multiple casino employment opportunities will be offered to former military.
All Seven Operational Casinos to Participate
Jim Plousis, head of the NJCCC, informed the media that the veterans career fair will be known as “Bet On A Vet” and that the city’s all 7 operational casinos will be present as well as the 2 new betting venues that are scheduled to open later this year.
Some of the employment opportunities on offer require approved applicants to get licenses from the regulators, but Jim said that the process is easy. The regulator stated that the required registrations take just a few weeks and that successful applicant will be able to work as soon as possible.
Veterans are requested to submit their resumes at the event and to be well-dressed for interviews on the same day. In addition, there will be veterans’ services for individuals that might need them.
New Job Opportunities
The opening of 2 new casinos on the city’s boardwalk will create hundreds of new jobs in the Atlantic City, including ones for former military heroes.
