Microgaming Jurassic World Now on All Platforms

Slots based on films and TV shows haven’t always been a big money spinner for their developers. They attract a little attention on release, but they often fade away. There have been exceptions though and one of the main exceptions is the Jurassic Park series of online slots created by Microgaming.

The first game in this series, simply titled Jurassic Park, took the online casino world by storm and was a huge hit. Now those fans have something else to get excited about because the final week of June 2017 saw the release of the second game in the series: Jurassic World.

What is Jurassic World

Based on the film of the same name, which was released fairly recently, Jurassic World doesn’t really follow on from the first game in the slot series. That’s because there were several films in between the ones that these two slots are based upon. However, Jurassic World does use many of the same features as that title.

Jurassic World was released in 2015 and fans of the film will be delighted to see that Microgaming have added images and sounds from that film to this slot. It has a very polished aesthetic and is actually an improvement on the previous slot, even though that one looked pretty much flawless.

Jurassic World Features

There are 5 reels on the Jurassic World slot and a total of 243 ways to win. According to the press release, its aim is to “put players center stage in the Jurassic World story”. And it does just that, as you really do feel the pangs of nostalgia for the series and you do feel like you’re part of something special.

One of the best features on this new title is the free spins round. During this feature players are taken to different areas of the park and introduced to a new aesthetic, as well as to a number of features. These all serve to create a more exciting and immersive experience, while offering plenty of chances to win big.

There is also a randomly activated feature that occurs during the base game and gives players a chance to win as much as 1,000x. That alone makes this a much more interesting title than the one that went before it.

Jurassic World may not be the best slot we have ever seen, but it is one of the best produced in the first half of 2017 and when you consider how many titles have been released, that’s worthy of praise.
