29.082017Poker Tournaments to Get Excited About in September
The summer is all but over, and the poker calendar is preparing for the latter half of the year. Make no mistake about it, some of the best tournaments of the year play out in the summer, but there are still a glut of top tournaments to come from September onwards and this coming month is actually one of the best of the year.
So, with that in mind let’s take a look at the best poker tournaments to take place in the month of September 2017.
Major Poker Stops
The World Poker Tour continues into September as the best players in the world head for the lights of Atlantic City in New Jersey. This stop takes place in the Borgata casino, one of the most famous of all casinos in the United States. It will run from the 5th to the 22nd and will play host to a number of top tournaments and big names.
There are APT and HPT stops as well, the former in Colorado on the 6th and the latter in Manilla on the 13th. If it is the World Series of Poker that you want then check-in to the WSOP Circuit events which run throughout the month, center around casinos in Florida and move onto countries like Brazil.
It’s not just the WPT and WSOP that are with paying attention to. There are many top tournaments that are played outside of the United States. They may not be as big or as impressive, but they are up and coming and are well worth a look.
The United Kingdom Poker tour is one of the biggest in the UK and is getting bigger all of the time. There is a stop in Leeds on September the 14th that runs for 3 days and will play host to many top amateurs fresh from the ranks of top rated online casinos and poker rooms.
There is also a Pokerstars festival stop to look forward to in Uruguay, a Seniors Poker Open in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the 2017 Poker Masters in Sin City. If you’re in Eastern Europe then head for Sochi and the 2017 Millions Russia, which looks set to become a lot bigger and could attract some of the biggest names in the game.
