Gypsy Moon was created by IGT, a developer perhaps best known for their work offline, but one that has also been responsible for many top slots. They created Family Guy, a huge recent hit, and they are one of the leading developers on top rated online casinos like Spin Palace. But where does this new title stand in all of that?
- Progressive no
- Wild Symbol yes
- Scatter Symbol yes
- Autoplay Option yes
- Multiplier no
- Min Coins Per Line 1
- Min Coins Size
- Max Coins Per Line 0.01
- Max Coins Size 0.05
Is Gypsy Moon one of their better creations or is this one of the many slots that just haven’t been up to scratch and have been readily dismissed by the online real money slot community? Let’s find out.
Gypsy Moon Basics
The Gypsy Moon basics really are basic, because this is not a particularly special game. The graphics are standard, there are 5 reels and 30 paylines, and there are a few flat symbols as well as a simple background.
There is an attempt to create a mystical, gypsy theme here, with shiny mirrors, tokens and more, but it’s all very uninspiring. One of the few things that is not standard and is worth noting is the betting range. You can bet as little as 0.25 and as much as 250, which is impressive.
That’s pretty much it though, and that’s a letdown for a developer as big and as well respected as IGT.
Gypsy Moon Bonuses and Features
There are a couple of decent features on Gypsy Moon, which serve to boost the game above the ranks of “average”. These include “Super Mode” that makes things more interest and a bonus game, which is launched via the zodiac symbol. Not the highest paying feature or the most impressive, but it’s fun and it serves to elevate this game to a higher level.
They have focused quite heavily on the features and that shows. If they had spent as much time on other areas of this game then it would be a top title that was worthy of any top rated online casino. But it’s not, and that’s why you probably won’t be seeing it on casinos like Guts and LeoVegas anytime soon. Not when they can add games like Family Guy and Guns n Roses instead.
Gypsy Moon Review: Summary: 5/10
We like IGT, we really do. They are responsible for many classics and in our eyes you can’t have a top rated online casino with slots that doesn’t have at least a dozen IGT titles. However, while they have created great games, they have also created poor ones, and Gypsy Moon is in the latter category.
It is nothing special and it’s not even generic. It’s full. There is no worthwhile theme, no great graphics, no standout bonus features and no great payout. There really is very little to like about this real money online casino slot, and for that reason we can only score it a 4/10. The fact that it has a decent number of reels and is not terrible in many areas (just less than average) is why the score is not lower.
We’re having some mercy on them, but they need to do better, because we all know they can.
