The Wizard of Oz Slot
WMS outdid themselves when they launched The Wizard of Oz: Ruby Slippers, which followed on from this The Wizard of Oz slot. If you loved Ruby Slippers like we did then you could be forgiven for thinking that the prequel was just as entertaining and well put together, but you would be wrong, because this is decidedly less impressive.

One of the things that made The Wizard of Oz: Ruby Slippers so entertaining was the fact that it had over half a dozen bonus features and many ways to play them. This slot is not as varied or as interesting in that way.
There is a jackpot symbol and this can unlock some big wins if you’re lucky enough to land several of them, but beyond that you only have a basic game of choice, which is as standard as bonus slot games can get, and a big wild.
The Wizard of Oz is a huge letdown if you play it after Ruby Slippers and if you play it before Ruby Slippers then it might even be enough to put you off the franchise altogether. And that would be a crying shame, because WMS clearly used The Wizard of Oz as a springboard to move onto greater things.
We can’t find much to praise with The Wizard of Oz. The graphics are very basic, the wins are not great and there are no impressive bonus features to secure. It is not even that generous, which is something that could have turned things around.
The only thing we like about The Wizard of Oz is that game screen reminds us ever-so-slightly of Ruby Slippers. But if we were given the choice to play The Wizard of Oz or the game that succeeded it, we’d definitely opt for the latter and you should too.
